An Caislean Nua Classic 2018

A race that will not be forgotten easily.
With the snow falling and the temperature hovering at a punishing -2°, Cormac Daly, the former A3 National Champion showed his class and clinched a well deserved win from a strong breakaway in the A1/2 Event.

With Cathal and Cormac breaking away in the first lap it set the tone for some aggressive racing. The initial break was ultimately reeled in by a group of 20 or so chasers.
The 5-Man break of the day would eventually gather an advantage of 3 minutes.
Cormac's winning move came in the form of a late attack on the climb to the finish with Cathal finishing fast behind in 3rd Place.

Strong results in the A3 and A4 Race also, a mighty day for the club.
